Profiles

Feature №14

A set of learning outcome / competences is creating a profile. A profile is a set of LOCs which is required for particular positions.

  • Job descriptions used in large enterprises consist of a set of knowledge, skills, and competences that are required for such position.
  • Candidate profiles are described in job advertisements.
  • A competence profile may be used to demand certain competences for a job.

InLOC examples

  • The HR-XML Europass CV application profile allows one to restrict or extend the list of competencies, to detail them deeper, or include more evidence using relationships with other parts of the CV.

InLOC treatment

InLOC does not specify a standard way of representing a competence profile, as the requirements for this may vary from application to application.

It is envisaged that a personal profile will be composed of a set of claims to have attained LOCs, each one of which may refer to a LOCdefinition within a LOCstructure.

A candidate profile or similar structure may be represented by a bespoke LOCstructure that aggregates the set of required or desired LOCdefinitions. Each LOCdefinition may, for example, be classed in a category "required" or "desired", from a classification scheme constructed for that purpose.
