Feature №12
The model covers the requirements or processes for assessing LOCs, or evidence that is relevant to assessing whether a person has achieved a LOC.
It is at present expected that the InLOC model will not detail information about evidence or assessment, but will allow information about evidence or assessment to be linked to LOC definitions.
However, one feature that does appear in many places is the way in which a particular learning outcome is expected to be assessed. Record the different options for these assessment methods or approaches. These would be general kinds of technique, not detailed processes.
InLOC treatment
InLOC does not specify a way of representing assessment or evidence explicitly.
It is envisaged that:
- assessment events or resources may refer to the defined LOC that they assess;
- evidence may be attached to a personal claim to have attained a defined LOC by an individual.
In each case, the LOCdefinition would be referred to by an HTTP URI which is, or which indicates, the published identifier of the LOCdefinition.
