There is an excellent web sites for finding out about Quakers in Britain
I made a single html file copy of George Amoss's Psychology of Salvation here
Back around 1997, just after I had been to Italy, I originally prepared Hans Weening's introductory booklet, "Meeting the Spirit: An introduction to Quaker beliefs and practices" for the web. I lost it, now found again and restored it here on my site.
Held here on my own site, still very old:
I initiated the following:
I first attended Quakers as a Young Friend at Oxford, around 1979. I attended Glasgow Meeting from around 1988 to 1991, where became a Quaker member with West Scotland Monthly Meeting.
From 1991 to 1994 I was attending Friends House Meeting, then away in Italy from 1994 to 1996. On returning to Britain, I attended Liverpool 1996-2005, where I was clerk for two years. I was with Bristol and Frenchay, attending Redland Meeting for several months, 2005-2006. then moved to Cheshire East, attending at Disley, from 2006 to 2013. I moved to Lancaster in 2013, but I only got round to transferring my membership there at the end of 2015. As of 2024 I retain my membership there, attending in person when I am in Lancaster, and occasionally online when away.
From 2021 onwards, while in Belgium, I have been attending the Belgium and Luxembourg Yearly Meeting online meeting for worship. Though their common language is generally English, they also have Dutch and French speakers, and following an idea from there I have put together a trilingual Advices and Queries
